Wall Textiles

The production of these textiles is loose and spontaneous, where the tufting gun is used as a drawing tool rather than a machine reproducing an image. The design is driven by the limits of the tool and movements of its user. Multiple fiber types - including hair and floss - and colors are tufted as a single line, allowing the material and color to be mixed as one would with paints. Rather than a finished product, the textile performs as an iteration exploring color adjacencies, textures, and layers.
